Tawse Winery - Vineland - $59

Tawse Winery Tour

Vineland, ON

Valid for 2 People

What's Included?

* Wine tour
* Premium wine tastings
* 2 bottles of select wine from Tawse

The Tawse Family owns two distinctive vineyards, both located along the gentle slopes of the Niagara Escarpment. We opened our new state-of-the-art Tawse Winery in spring of 2005 on the lower slopes of the Vineland Double Bench. With its unique hillside terrain, the climate here beautifully echoes the golden slopes of Burgundy as we share the same sunny latitudes, giving our vines excellent growing conditions and a terroir that is equally distinctive.

The best way to introduce you to Tawse wines is a personal tour of the winery. We're open throughout the year, 7 days a week, and invite you to enjoy a tour of our unique facility. You'll discover the careful journey our grapes take from sunning on the vine, all the way to aging in the cellars.

Our tour guide Alex was very friendly and helpful in explaining what were going to see. Taking us outside she pointed out various fields they have and the king of grapes in them. Also their association with Redstone Vineyard and their new fine restaurant. The tour and tasting was wonderful having tried many different tastes that I had never had before. I trust this was because of the biodynamic process. A very subtle taste. I would recommend this winery as a definite tour destination.

What a lovely day we had touring the Tawse Winery in September. As we entered the expansive driveway we felt as if we were visiting a mansion. We were met by Dan who was our guide and found him extremely knowledgeable and friendly. We tasted several wines and learned how they were made as we toured the cellars and viewed the wine making area. We were shown where each type of grape was grown how it was cared for and that they were all carefully picked by hand when ready. We were so glad that Dan was our guide and made our day so memorable. Thanks Dan. Good Job.

We received a wine & tourcard as a gift. It was one of the best we've been to so far. WE were so impressed with Tawse and learned what it meant to be a true organic winery. Our guide was excellent and so knowledgeable. We look forward to visiting again.

We were given the Wine & tour as a Christmas Gift. We thoroughly enjoyed our time at Tawse Winery and will definitely return for more wine in the future. Highly recommend the Sambadays cards

We thoroughly enjoyed our tour of Tawse Winery through the sambadays package. Our guide Rheal was not only very knowledgeable but entertaining and enthusiastic about his company's product. We learned a great deal about winemaking and were impressed by Tawse's commitment to environmentally friendly production. A tasting of excellent wines completed our visit perfectly.

On March 13 2012 my husband and I had the pleasure of a private wine tour at Tawse purchased through Sambadays. Even though we were 15 minutes late due to traffic they were very courteous and accommodating. Ken was our tour guide and he gave a very thorough explanation of their growing wine making and aging processes while showing us through the facility. I really appreciate the organic nature of their winery. We tasted some excellent wines and enjoyed the experience very much. In addition to the two bottles included in the package we purchased extra bottles of some of the wines we tasted. Since then we have signed up for the Tawse electronic newsletter and will be attending the 2012 Summer Solstice concert on June 16th with 6 of our friends.

The tour and tasting at Tawse was excellent The staff were great and made us feel welcome. We are planning a trip back when we get the time. My only criticism would be the actual redeeming of the gift card - there was some minor confusion as to how to redeem but we figured it out. I'm a samba days believer

I would just like to share with you our thoughts about our Tawse Winery Tour booked through Sambadays. I believe that our Tour Guide's name was Ken. We have experienced a number of Niagara Region and New York State Finger Lakes winery tours but the tour of Tawse stands out as the best Ken was very informative about your Winery and served as an excellent Ambassador for Tawse Winery. Thank you for a truly wonderful experience

The staff were very helpful on the private tour. Amazing to see the gravity pulled wine...makes for some tasty wines. Small place but has lots of character. You have to try the Cabernet Franc...no wonder they won all these awards.
