Burning Kiln Winery is one of Ontario’s newest wineries. Since opening its doors in June of 2011, Burning Kiln has already won numerous awards for its wines, both nationally and internationally.

Located near the Lake Erie shoreline in an area that previously grew tobacco, the winery has adopted the drying kilns into their wine-making process, utilizing the Appassimento method.

Come explore and enjoy our award winning VQA wines with a tour through our vineyards and winery. Your guide will discuss the transition from tobacco growing to vineyards so that you start to appreciate our unique wine-making method. Following your tour, you will go through a structured wine tasting.

At Burning Kiln, we never want anyone to go away empty handed, so when you leave, we will make sure you have two bottles of our wine in your hands.

This is a lovely modern winery located just west of Port Dover. The staff are very friendly and knowledgeable and the wines are tasty and full-bodied. Makes a nice day to combine the wine tasting with some adventure activities across the road at Long Point Eco-Adventures - zip lining kayaking overnight stays in luxury camping huts - less than 2 hours from the GTA. A great destination for a day trip from Toronto.
