Serious students of the ancient art of Bellydance travel the world over to study the renowned and in depth curriculum of Arabesque Academy. Founded in 1987, Arabesque is the largest Middle Eastern Dance & Music School in North America. Director Yasmina Ramzy teaches in over 60 cities around the globe and has produced 14 DVDs which sell worldwide. All of the highly trained Arabesque teachers offer fun filled classes which incorporate traditional and safe techniques, a vigorous workout, and a sense of history and culture. Experience Six Bellydance classes at any level from Foundation to Advanced to be taken over a seven week period as well as receive one DVD. The DVD is your choice from 14 instructional and performance DVDs. Classes are all drop-in. There are over 40 classes a week to choose from at the downtown location of Yonge & Bloor. Arabesque students also benefit from playing and working alongside the dancers and musicians of internationally acclaimed Arabesque Dance Company & Orchestra. Wear bare feet for class and anything you are comfortable in. You may bring your own hip scarf or one will be provided for you. Change room provided. Arrive 10 minutes before class.
