Welcome aboard the Tall Ship THANE! Sail the beautiful Strait of Juan de Fuca, famous for its killer whales, sea lions and bald eagles. Enjoy the majestic views of the snow-capped Olympic Mountains and the City of Victoria. Built in Victoria, BC in 1978 by the present day owner/operator, THANE is a 17m (55') gaff rigged ketch. Heavily framed and planked in yellow cedar, she is modeled after Joshua Slocum's SPRAY, the first vessel to circumnavigate single-handed in 1895. THANE is fashioned out of recycled materials salvaged from industrial sights and character buildings. As for the tour, passengers can participate or relax and enjoy. We sail daily from Victoria's Inner Harbour. Join us for an historic Tall Ship adventure!
